This treatment is aimed at groups with similar problems and difficulties. During the course of treatment, participants have the opportunity to share their experiences, which can help them feel less alone in their struggles.

What is group therapy?
Group therapy is offered to individuals facing similar challenges. The method can help participants recognize aspects of their own issues in others, which may reduce feelings of isolation and foster a sense of safety. Participants share their experiences and are then encouraged to reflect on them with the support of a therapist. The group setting also provides an opportunity to try out new ways of relating to oneself and others.
About the treatment
In group therapy, only I am visible to all participants; the others remain anonymous to one another. The group usually consists of 6–8 participants. Common elements of the treatment include psychoeducation—providing information related to the issues being addressed. Various exercises and homework assignments are also important components. Sessions are held once a week.
